The unit has served both Observation patients and those being triaged into the unit from the Emergency Department, with a focus on patients with expected stay of 48 hours or less. The unit expanded and in November 2016 moved to a larger 28-bed location. This is the ideal clinical environment for an RN who wants to use their experience to help improve processes while serving as a patient advocate. Positions available on night shifts, l2hrs shifts. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Clinical Nurse III assumes responsibility and accountability for the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Clinical Nurse Ill consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and proficient skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultant and resource person. Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within the Nursing at the unit, service line, and institutional levels. Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. Assumes responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights and meeting customer's expectation. Educational Requirements: BSN required Graduate from an accredited nursing program License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current California Registered Nurse License American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS, BLS Specialty certification preferred (must commit to obtaining within one year of hire) Telemetry training required Experience: Five (5) years or more recent acute care RN experience to include 3yrs Telemetry or ICU/PCU RN experience. Experience with computerized documentation systems is a must! Experience with acting in charge nurse role required. Physical Demands: The physical ability and perceptive acuity to satisfactori6y perform all direct and indirect patient care functions. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs. Will work in highly visible, very active environment. Must be able to stand, lift, walk. No physical limitation.
