The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Content Specialist to provide content management and digital media support for Cincinnati Online. This is the central umbrella structure that provides high-quality online academic programs across the university. The Senior Content Specialist will manage Cincinnati Online's interactive presence through search engine marketing and optimization, collaborate with college marketing and communication managers to develop digital content, implement and analyze digital campaigns.
Serve as primary lead on Cincinnati Online website development and strategy, user experience, site navigation and 504/508 compliance
Develop, maintain, and update website content using supported content management system
Work with external partner(s) to develop and execute digital marketing plans that support overall web, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and display advertising plans and programs
Assist with oversite of annual Paid Campaign Budget while running and optimizing Pay Per Click and Cost Per Click
Assist in the development of digital strategies and manage SEO efforts, including site optimization, rank performance, keyword research, SEO-friendly blog content, and conversion rate optimization
Develop a content calendar to plan, publish and maintain useful and compelling content across digital channels, ensuring proper messaging, quality, brand compliance and consistency with other marketing activities and media
Leverage blogs, social media, influencers, and guest posting to push content
Measure and report performance of digital marketing plans and programs, and assess against goals (ROI, KPIs and benchmarks)
Uses analytics software to identify content opportunities and areas for improvement that align with strategic goals
Develop reports outlining audience engagement metrics across platforms
Gather audience feedback data to gauge content effectiveness
Analyze digital market trends, customer insights, and recommend changes to communication strategies and plans based on analysis and feedback
Work with Cincinnati Online recruiters to gather feedback regarding audience insights and effectiveness of marketing strategies to generate quality leads
Proven work experience as a digital media specialist
Strong work experience with web design and enterprise content management systems
Experience creating engaging content for all digital outlets, including website, email, blogs, and social networks
Ability to operationalize analytics (including Google) and report on content and social performance, conversion ratios and other KPIs
Demonstrated understanding of in-bound marketing, demand generation and lead management
Able to create accessible sites that meet section 508 and W3C WCAG 2.0 standards
Skilled at creating content – social media, blog posts, copy writing
Creative storyteller, using words and images that attract and retain audiences
Ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines
Minimum of three years of experience in content marketing and digital media
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
