Masters Degree in higher education, public administration, social science, statistics, or related field of study. Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a higher education institution with direct experience related to assessment/ institutional effectiveness. Experience with assessment and accreditation database and reporting systems. Expertise with qualitative and quantitative methods of research and analysis in a higher education setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, staff, and administrators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Promote a culture of evidence-based decision making · Manage communication of institutional effectiveness messages · Consult with academic departments and programs on their student learning outcomes and their annual assessment efforts · Consult with administrative and educational support units regarding their annual assessment efforts · Maintain the calendar for, implement, and direct the periodic comprehensive review process · Ensure the university is compliant with accreditation requirements for institutional effectiveness · Work closely with the University Academic Assessment Council in developing and regularly reviewing guidelines for institutional effectiveness · Maintain the University's software for accreditation reports, periodic comprehensive reviews, and assessment plans and reports · Coordinate institution-level surveys and disseminate results to appropriate parties · Other duties as assigned by Director of Institutional Research, Assessment and Planning
Doctorate degree 7-10 years' relevant experience in a higher education institution with experience related to assessment/ institutional effectiveness Experience with Xitracs assessment and accreditation system Familiarity with SACSCOC Standards and expectations
