Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Provide administrative support to the VP Human Capital - Global HR Operations, VP Human Capital Partner - UnitedHealth Group and Manager, Human Capital Partner - UnitedHealth Group in a manner consistent with the highest levels of performance and professionalism Scheduling meetings of all sizes Interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, including UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare and Optum Executives Answer incoming calls and facilitate handling of requests for information; evaluate calls in terms of importance and use independent judgment to take action Prepare letters, memos, documents, schedules, reports, charts and presentations using standard computer applications Manage calendars, coordinate travel, and prepare expense reports Make meeting and event arrangements and coordinate changes in schedules Acting as the on-boarding liaison for a team of over 100 including ordering computers, software access, telephones and other equipment Collaborating with other administrative assistants as needed including phone coverage for executives in suites Prepare outgoing mail, including overnight express Monitor incoming mail and email and triage in priority order, highlighting important items or requests for action Independently perform varied administrative duties Work effectively as an integral member of the admin team Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail Maintain filing systems
Required Qualifications:High school education or equivalent experience 4+ years of general administrative support experience Minimum 2 years supporting multiple senior level executives within a fast-pace environment Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel Experience handling confidential information Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail Must be able to work in a large, matrixed corporate environment Must have excellent verbal and written communication and grammatical skills Must have a polished demeanor and be comfortable working with people at all levels Experience coordinating large meetings, including WebEx virtual meetings and teleconferences Must have ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pmUnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
