Posting Summary: To provide academic support services in instructional design(in developing, upgrading, assessing, converting or enhancing courses with technology-enhanced teaching strategies) for School of Nursing faculty, staff and administration. To integrate best practice instructional design and adult learning preparation to enhance the quality of education provided by UVA School of Nursing faculty.

Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's Degree with post-baccalaureate certificate in instructional design/instructional technology, educational computing, instructional systems or a closely related subject area.
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: *Degree Preferred
Preferred Specific Degree/Training: Master's
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Minimum of two years' experience working directly with faculty using e-technology and learning pedagogies in the design or conversion of courses for various platforms, e.g., mobile learning delivery Direct experience in working with university-level learning/course management systems Demonstrated knowledge of supporting and utilizing Apple products in a higher education setting.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Four years or more of creating digital instructional materials using a wide range of instructional technologies in a University setting Demonstrated experience in developing instructional materials, media and applications for graduate level offerings Experience with subject matter (e.g., as Apple Education) groups in leveraging technology for education Faculty development and training experience Experience with digital and emerging technology that is applicable to a health care learning environment (e.g., wearable computing, health sensors and connected health)
Required License or Certification: Bachelor's Degree with post-baccalaureate certificate in instructional design/instructional technology, educational computing, instructional systems or a closely related subject area.

Required Computer Applications: Extensive and direct experience in working with learning/course management systems Fluency in Apple and Microsoft Office products
Preferred Computer Applications: Experience with digital media software (i.e., Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Articulate, etc.) Demonstrated experience with web authoring tools, scripting, and web accessibility standards, guidelines and application (WCAG 2.0)
