Advertised Summary Job Description: POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Associate Treasurer, Global Treasury Operations, the Director, Global Treasury Operations is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the cash management team and to oversee daily treasury operations including global cash management and merchant account management. The Director supervises two officers-the Manager, Global Treasury Operations and Associate Director, PCI compliance and Merchant Account Management.
The Director oversees the mangement of global cash operations for the University which currently includes approximately 240 domestic and foreign bank accounts operating in over 35 countries. Responsibilities include oversight and review of the daily cash position, preparation of short term cash forecasts, management of Treasury Management System and execution of wire transfers. In addition, the Director is responsible for ensuring a consistent level of service for both internal and external customers. This includes managing the queue of customer service requests and acting as system administrator for online bank systems. Other responsibilities include supporting working capital investment initiatives, analyzing banking activity and related costs, managing new and existing global bank accounts, providing support for international programs and reporting requirements, maintaining accurate records and analyses, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and representing central administration on Treasury issues as they arise.
Merchant Account Management and PCI Compliance
The Director oversees the University's merchant account program which includes over 300 merchant accounts; works closely with Associate Director, PCI Compliance and Merchant Account Management, CUIT Security, and merchant account owners to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations; manages payment gateway and processor relationships as well as internal and external customer service requests and acts as system administrator for online gateway and processor systems .
The Director must be detail oriented and be able to exercise prudent judement. Additionally, the Director will represent Treasury on cross functional teams and is expected to proactively seek to improve controls and operating efficiencies through process improvement, technologies, and other available products and services; Perform other duties as assigned.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related field and a minimum of 7 years related progressive experience in a multi-national environment required.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: If not already certified, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation required within 18 months of assuming role. Must have strong working knowledge of cash accounting practices and maintenance of a strong internal control environment. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. The ability to partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to support optimal collaborative efforts required. Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-identification and problem-solving skills. Must have strong prioritizing and time management skills. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and a commitment to exceptional quality.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree and at least 4 years of management experience preferred. Merchant account management or credit card processing experience a plus. Experience with on-line transaction systems, database, web and project management software a plus.
