Application Review Date Departmental Overview Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Develops and maintains BFI media contacts; interacts with media as appropriate, and facilitates interaction between media and UC Berkeley people. Ensures production of high quality products that effectively deliver the desired messages to targeted people or organizations, within budget and time constraints. Supervises student assistants on communications projects. Identifies and arranges contracts with external consultants for specific tasks, as needed. Works with other BFI staff on public event organization, as needed. Maintains BFI Salesforce database, together with other BFI staff. Coordinates with other relevant communications staff on the UC Berkeley campus.
Required Qualifications Familiarity with the Berkeley Food Institute, its achievements, mission, vision, goals, policies, practices, infrastructure.
Education/Training: Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with UC Berkeley protocols and channels for communication internally and externally preferred. Master's degree preferred.
