The Exhibitions and Events Specialist is responsible for planning and carrying out activities to produce SEMICON West (and/or other events in North America as required). This role requires ability to produce and oversee a wide variety of internal and external detail activities necessary to ensure that the marketing, planning, and implementation of the show is carried out in a timely manner. The Specialist will ensure timely execution of specific show related projects, tradeshow operations, logistics, and activities and may require the ability to work closely with the SEMI regional offices.
This is a full-time position, reports to the Director of Exhibitions & Events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional service to exhibitors, coordinate booth confirmation, and collect payments
Act as a supporting point of contact and facilitate communications with external parties. (Including exhibitors, contractors, security, facility management, caterers, etc.)
Understand the in-and-outs of show operations as well as show rules and regulations to ensure all internal and external show deadlines are met
Assist with housing assignment for HQ staff and international staff coming from regional offices
Performs a variety of data entry duties to support the North American region. Functions include timely data entry of exhibit space applications and Event Directory information ensuring the integrity of data entered by accurately keying, monitoring, and verifying data. Requires effectively balancing resources and priorities based on the cycle and deadlines of SEMICON West.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
3-5 years with direct responsibilities in the production and organization of trade shows preferred. International business experience is a plus.
Ability to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal by the deadline using limited resources.
Good skills in both verbal and written communications, with a strong attention to detail required.
Accuracy and proof reading skills is a must.
Excellent customer service, can-do attitude, work well under pressure
Experience with desktop applications: Word, Excel, email. Any trade show management, association database system experience, MS Project, Lotus Notes, MS Access and familiarity of using internet are pluses. Project Management skill is strongly recommended.
