The Corporate Finance Controllers’ team is seeking a focused and driven professional to join our Legal Entity Accounting team as an Accountant 4. The Legal Entity Accounting team is responsible for maintaining the Corporation’s consolidated legal entity hierarchy, producing journal entries for entity restructures (mergers, dissolutions etc.), preparing the FRY-9 LP report for one of the holding companies, providing oversight for currency accounting operations and managing ad hoc accounting projects as requested by management. This role with have direct interaction with business leaders and finance and accounting management.
Core responsibilities and duties may include:
•Understanding Wells Fargo complex consolidated legal entity structure and transactions impacting the structure. All legal changes must be reconciled to our GAAP consolidated accounting hierarchy. •Performing complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. •Reviewing data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy. •Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and certifications. •Performing a variety of analyses or projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems.

•4+ years of accounting experience
•A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting •CPA-Certified Public Accountant designation •Strong accounting skills •Intermediate Microsoft Office skills •Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy •Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills •Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations •Experience with general ledgers and accounting policies •Experience with Legal entity management systems and processes, and In-depth understanding of legal entity structures and business products •Financial services industry experience •Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important •Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles: statutory and GAAP •Strong collaboration and partnering skills • Consolidation accounting experience
