Under the direction of the Arts, Science, and Business Division Chair, the tenure track Assistant Professor serves as a faculty member and Area Coordinator for the English/Writing Program Administrator at the Agricultural Technical Institute within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University; teaches entry-level and second-year writing courses, literature and communication, as assigned by the division chair; develops and assesses curriculum; develops course syllabi; sources, hires, orients and develops associated faculty in English; collaborates with OSU departments located in Columbus to ensure consistency of instruction and writing program administration; assists the division chair in scheduling classes and assigning faculty; oversees English placement testing; monitors English area budget; participates in academic student advising, student recruitment and organizational student development; participates in professional development, scholarly activity and provides leadership/service to the institute, college, university and professional organizations.
Position is located in Wooster, Ohio.
