: We are seeking a R&D Computer Science This job is a for a R&D Computer Science position with Dept\. 6367\. The department provides R&D modeling and simulation applications \(two variants\) to customers within the United States Nuclear Detonation \(NuDet\) Detection System \(USNDS\) for wide ranging purposes from providing data to inform systems engineering studies to operational system analysis to future system verification\. Required:
Graduate degree in mathematics, physics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science\.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science\.
Three or more years of professional experience in software development or computer science\.
Proficient skill with both C\+\+ and Java object\-orientated software development\.
Experience in a subset of the following areas: data analysis, modeling and simulation, algorithm development, uncertainty quantification, systems engineering, and/or scientific research\-level software development\. Desired:
Graduate degree in computer science with emphasis in mathematics or physics\.
Bachelor's degree in computer science with minor \(or emphasis\) in mathematics or physics\.
Three or more years of relevant combined experience in these areas: data analysis, modeling and simulation, algorithm development, uncertainty quantification, and systems engineering\.
Three or more years of relevant experience in scientific, research\-level, or prototyping\-level software development over the lifecycle of design, implementation, testing, and verification\.
Skills using both Windows\-based and UNIX/Linux\-based platforms for software development\.
Skills in software development applied to user interfaces, databases, data or image processing, distributed multi\-threaded applications, and data visualization\.
Experience with relevant application and mission domains \(remote sensing, satellite systems and sensors, sensor technologies, proliferation detection, monitoring and surveillance, modeling and simulation of phenomenology, sensors and complex systems\)
Skills in written and oral communication, including ability to develop and present ideas and results
Skills to successfully work as both an individual contributor and team member in multi\-disciplinary projects\.
Skills in technical leadership, including ability to prioritize and balance competing activities and being comfortable working with varying degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty\.
Experience working in an agile development environment, specifically scrum or Kanban based\.
