Pikes Peak Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician who has a passion for being a veterinary professional – a desire to form meaningful relationships with pet owners and the compassion necessary to handle each pet as if it were their own. A PPVC Technician must have the skills necessary to problem solve and prioritize on their own or as part of a group. A PPVC Technician must have equal confidence in the areas concerning both animal health and client education. The technician role would be under the direct guidance and supervision of the Technician Supervisor. A minimum of two to three years of experience as a veterinary technician is required. Previous work history in the areas of anesthesia monitoring, dentistry and client communications is preferred. Certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited technician program is preferred.
The Veterinary Technician role requires a 32-40 hour workweek. Working some Saturday mornings and weekday evening shifts will be required.

The Veterinary Technician role encompasses skill sets which include, but are not limited to: Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, assisting in physical examinations and patient assessment, surgical preparation and assisting, patient recovery, dentistry, laboratory work, pharmacy protocols, providing compassionate care for our hospitalized patients, inventory restocking, posting treatment charges and medical data entry.
All Pikes Peak Veterinary Technicians must maintain a working knowledge of the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all medical equipment.
