Under the direction of the AVP of Mortgage Operations, performs a variety of functions within the Mortgage Servicing Department.
Performs loan set up on the core. Ensures all terms of the Note are properly entered to the core in addition to escrow set up and automatic payment set up.
Performs all ancillary loan set up requirements: activation of mortgage insurance certificate on vendor's site, activation of tax tracking service on vendor's site and uploads the Schedule A, and loan disbursement offset per terms defined in file.
Generates checks for payoffs associated with home equity loan transactions. Responsible for responding to member inquiry with regards to any payoff checks issued.
Reviews appraisal billing notices against individual invoices, issues approval to accounts payable and documents appropriate general ledger to be debited.
Processes all appraisal fees received and deposits to appropriate general ledger and performs a monthly reconciliation of the same.
Responds to member inquiries with regards to their mortgages serviced by the credit union, to include but not limited to post-closing address change requests, newly established automatic payment set up, PMI reviews, escrow reviews, and payment history reviews. Provides the highest level of service.
Responsible for reviewing the loan set up on the core against the terms of the Note ensuring accuracy of all data.
Reviews documentation for all closed mortgage transactions to include first, second and home equity lines of credit to ensure the quality and integrity of the mortgage loan file. Maintains an exception tracking log and performs required follow up to cure any defect.
Responsible for the electronic record retention of all closed mortgage files and the filing of select original documentation. Responsible for adhering to the CU's record retention policy including the purging of outdated files.
Responsible for the recording of mortgages for all home equity loan products and the tracking of mortgages recorded by others on our behalf.
Prepares and provides reports and loan files for delivery to internal and external auditors. Assists in the clearing of exceptions as a result of the audit reviews.
Acts as a back-up for front desk coverage, as needed.
Performs related and unrelated functions as may be assigned or requested.

Banking or mortgage loan experience highly preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple functions within strict deadlines. Must be a team player.
