This is a continuous recruitment for Physical Education Instructors. Specific courses taught will vary by applicants' areas of expertise and PE course needs and by departmental needs. UCSC Physical Education subjects include Swimming, Scuba, Sailing, Rowing, Kayaking, Basketball, Racquetball, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Dance, Fencing, Fitness, Yoga, Tai Chi and Martial Arts. Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.

Depending on type of class, ability to obtain and keep current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification prior to employment.
Will be required to complete Title IX (Sexual Harassment) training every two years.
Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, this position has been identified as a Campus Security Authority. The selected candidate will be required to report a crime or any incident that may be a crime including hazing.
Will be required to take the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) online training module.
Will be required to complete FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) training within one month of hire.
