The Board of Trustees of Missouri Baptist University is seeking applications, nominations and expressions of interest for the position of President of the University. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. Alton Lacey who is retiring June 30, 2018 after more than 23 years of service.
The University is a seeking a candidate with these minimum qualifications:
*An earned doctorate;
*A committed Christian who understands the issues related to faith based universities;
*A minimum of five years of senior level management experience, preferably in higher education;
*Demonstrated ability to carry out the organizational mission and vision, engaging the campus community in strategic thinking and planning;
*The ability to build and motivate a leadership team;
*A working knowledge of fund raising and student recruitment.
In addition to these requirements, the new president will be a person of impeccable integrity with outstanding communication skills, a dynamic and visionary leader, a role model to the university community, and adaptable to the demands of shepherding a complex university.
