Position supports the Clinical Support Services area by providing excellent service to all customers. The position is also responsible for entering patient data and verifying insurance coverage.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides customer service support for clients, faculty and staff in a friendly and helpful manner while providing a positive, professional, courteous and empathetic understanding to all customers.
Exhibits high quality performance through accuracy and attention to detail.
Makes decisions on level of urgency of request to determine appropriate avenue of communication.
Provides timely feedback and follow-up on status of work requests to customers.
Enters patient data into laboratory LIS system as well as hospital systems.
Demonstrates knowledge of insurance industry, verifies patient insurance is valid and active and prepares case for accessioning.
Fulfills client requests as needed, including organizing pick-up/deliveries through outside courier.
Other duties as assigned.
Maintains customer contact lists.
Maintains Clinical Support Services area supply inventory.
Equivalent of High School diploma with some related experience involving personal computers and Window software.
Telephone etiquette with pleasant manner and a services oriented attitude.
The hiring range for this position is $13.75 - $17.19 per hour.
