This position Finance Manager is responsible for:
Managing the day to day financial operations as well as special projects as assigned by the Executive Director, who they will be reporting to.
Managing the annual budget process, which includes very large Capital expenditures and the 10 year plan and helping to generate the capital operating budget.
Preparing the interim financial statements and monthly budget performance reports.
Overseeing the year end audit process, and preparing the audited financial statements and all required disclosures to assure compliance with all regulatory filings.
Designing and maintaining appropriate accounting controls to assure the accuracy of the general ledger and distributions to member practices.
Serving as a resource to the office staff at member practices to help support efficient practice operations.
To qualify you must have:
Extensive knowledge of financial theories, statistical analysis, and healthcare delivery systems.
Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated direct knowledge of practice re-engineering, cost accounting or financial analysis; and knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, in particular Excel and Access.
A range of five to ten years of progressively increasing experience in healthcare finance to include direct experience in developing a complete business plan.
Participated and advised at division administrative committee meetings and additionally acted as an advisor and backup to administrative managers.
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Management. MBA, MPH, CPA IS strongly preferred.
A successful track of working in a high functioning fast-paced environment.
The ability to build strong working collaborative relationships across multiple organizational lines.
A strong ability to multitask and have a keen attention to detail.
Experience Interfacing with Clinical / Non-Clinical Leadership on key Financial areas.
