This position Manager, Patient Financial Clearance (RN) is responsible for:
Managing the pre-service financial clearance operations within Patient Financial Services, with primary focus on eligibility, referrals, and supporting the clinical aspects of securing authorizations.
Resolving financial clearance issues to support expeditious revenue capture for hospital and physician groups.
Developing, monitoring, and refining departmental procedures and productivity and quality standards to ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Conducting the first-level peer to peer discussions with payers as needed to facilitate the approval of medically necessary care for our patients.
To qualify you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and an RN designation.
A minimum of 3 years broad-based clinical experience in an inpatient pediatric setting with an RN Degree or 5 years or patient financial service related experience without an RN degree.
An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility, may be substituted for the stated education and experience requirements, however an RN is strongly preferred.
