Massasoit Community College was recently awarded a grant to partner with two local public school districts to implement a Massachusetts Inclusive Concurrent Enrollment Initiative (MAICEI) program on campus. The MAICEI Program offers inclusive concurrent enrollment opportunities (credit and non-credit courses and extra-curricular activities) for students 18-22 years old with intellectual disabilities from the partnering school districts. The PT Clerical Assistant will provide administrative and operational support/assistance for the program, assisting the MAICEI Coordinator and/or Director of Academic Support Services with daily office functions and program tasks.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide excellent customer services to all constituencies (students, staff, faculty, program Leadership Team members)
Maintain and update manual of policies, practices, procedures and forms
Track program budget, requests for expenditures, mentor timesheets; prepare monthly grant funding requests; order supplies
Assist with event and meeting preparation and logistics; take meeting minutes
Generate and send routine correspondence and forms
Stock and update program informational materials
Respond to telephone, email and in-person inquiries
Assist with collecting/compiling data and reports
Copy, file, scan materials as needed
Perform other related duties as needed to support the program’s goals
High school diploma or equivalent; strong interpersonal, collaborative, organizational and administrative skills; strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations; commitment to community college mission; knowledge/skill using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook; understanding of confidentiality parameters; reliability essential. Associate’s degree, experience working with individuals with disabilities, and familiarity with student information systems preferred.
This is a grant funded non-benefited position.
Hours: 12 - 15 hours per week per week, schedule will vary as needed
Pay Rate: $15.00 hourly
