Advocate Children’s Hospital and Advocate Medical Group –Park Ridge seek a full time BE/BC C & A Psychiatrist (Outpatient) with a passion for improving the lives of children in the Chicagoland area.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care for Child and Adolescent patients. This is a full-time, Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry position. The physician will join a growing team of psychiatrists and therapists to meet the behavioral health needs of the pediatric population for Advocate Children’s Hospital.
The primary site of service will be Park Ridge, IL; however, there may be opportunities to expand services in other areas in the North, such as Elgin and / or Libertyville. The outpatient practice in Park Ridge is located within the Yachtman Pediatric Multi-specialty building, where the physician will have the opportunity work amongst a full complement of pediatric sub-specialists. Adjacent to Lutheran General Hospital, the physician will have a close working relationship with the providers on the only Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient unit. The twelve bed unit will serve as an important referral source for patients seeking outpatient care after discharge. Additional responsibilities include inpatient consultation/liaison services to an acute and chronically ill pediatric population within all medical units of the Children’s hospital, as well as outpatient services for children and adolescents with chronic medical conditions and general mental health as well as provide supervision and teaching. 9am-6pm. M-F ER: 1-2 days per week and one weekend per month of Lutheran General Hospital psychiatry residents.
