Full Time 40 hours Grade 055 Financial Services SMH Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Responsibilities General Purpose: Utilizing knowledge of information systems and healthcare business requirements and processes, provide Project Management (PM) services, to include analytical, application and infrastructure consultative services, and budgeting for the Medical Center, and as required, manage Business Intelligence and Decision Support collaborative PM services among distributed URMC IT divisions. Support BI systems projects designed to improve Enterprise BI systems and operations resulting in more effective use of resources, improved patient care and reduced costs. Specific Responsibilities: Follows department guidelines and standards, functioning independently and with minimal direct supervision of day to day activities and project tasks: Consulting Using the enterprise Project Proposal Methodology, determines scope of the problem/project, through collaboration with the executive project sponsor, key clinical users, and DSS system and application analysts Strategic communications and planning required for implementing enterprise â“wide foundational complex, integrated, and layered technologies Managing the development of integrated analytical approach due to a legacy independent silo, non-integrated systems and applications Advanced integration analysis for financial services with Clinical Engineering, Network Engineering, Applications Integration, Clinical Inpatient Applications, Clinical Specialty groups, and vendors to achieve device integration strategic plans. Develop and manage the BI business plan to execute a self-service and visualization tools with the goal of improving timely access to needed data for customers. Advanced benchmarking experience, to include coordination and facilitation of benchmarking, leading collaborative team on site and remote detail evaluation, requirements, strategy-setting initiatives. Creates alternative/cost-effective/creative solutions and uses and develops cost/benefit analyses Keeps current with business and strategic goals, University service providers and technological environment/architecture Communicates and educates at the userâ™s level, in the context of the userâ™s business environment Detail relationship building with users, vendors, agencies, associated with complex integrated dependent applications, hardware and peripherals. Completes feasibility studies Develops implementation approach Provides continuous feedback Ability to access/evaluate technological appropriateness of various proposed solutions Building and maintaining internal departmental relationships Project Management Following the Project Office Methodology and Project Guidelines and Tools, defines/reviews the objectives, scope, benefit, budget, and success factors of the project and confirms leadership commitment to the project. Advanced project management planning and coordination for multi-layered dependent major and dependent sub-major projects to deliver advanced integrated system solutions for customers. Management of the Project through the five phases of the Project Methodology: Feasibility, Initiation, Design, Implementation, and Completion Ensures project is delivered within approved budget, schedule, and contingency and meets quality standards. Canvasses team to identify all project risk, develops mitigation strategies/plans and works to have strategies in place should they be needed. Establishes and executes a project communication plan. Negotiates conflict resolution when needed between team members or product owners. Resolves conflict within the project team. Utilizes motivation techniques to ensure project team reaches goals and milestones. Negotiates with Management and/or Project Sponsor to obtain key resources or materials. Analytical Reporting Maintains analytical expertise to assist with data collection and guidance to key customers through the organization Builds customer requirements and report for key customers throughout the organization. Builds complex data reports and summaries for key customers. General Responsibilities Maintains technical expertise regarding McKesson BI tools and technology.Provides troubleshooting skills as needed. Serves on committees and attends meetings as requested. Requirements: 4-5 yearsâ™ experience in project management Bachelorâ™s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or other related field required, Masters preferred Additional skills desired: Project management experience in the health care field and Project Management certification Prior experience actively managing medium and large projects with expertise in Project Management software and leading all resources, including an interdepartmental team. Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, analytical and problem solving skills Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage projects
