The Department of Physics atBrown University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Quantum Condensed Matter Theory, starting in the summer of 2018. This position is part of an initiative for further growth in interdisciplinary condensed matter research at Brown University, including a concurrent search in condensed matter experiment. We seek candidates who have the potential to create a vigorous and sustainable research program at Brown. A strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is also required.
Current research in quantum condensed matter physics at Brown is very active across many topics, including topological matter, strongly correlated electronic systems, spintronics, quantum liquids and solids, superconductivity, nanoscale physics, semiconductor physics and devices, and magnetism.
