Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding leadership opportunity as Assistant Nurse Manager, Pre-Admissions Coordinator/Rehab Nurse Consultant, 100% day shift position.

The Rehabilitation Admission Coordinator will function as a liaison to patients , families, medical teams, nursing staff, social services, consulting and referring physicians and agencies involved in the referral and admission of patients. The admission coordinator facilitates admissions from Harborview inpatient units, as well as from the community and out of state. Working closely with Patient Financial Counseling services, the admission coordinator provides an assessment of resources and obtains payer authorization for admission to the rehabilitation inpatient unit. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of, and maintains confidentiality of patient information and medical center strategic plans and initiatives, financial information or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize patient rights or organization's operations. Accesses and uses the minimum necessary patient and organization information to perform job responsibilities and duties and only for authorized purposes.
Requirements include: 1. BSN degree. 2. Washington State RN License (by time of hire). 3. Minimum three years professional nursing experience including rehabilitation nursing. 4. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise.
