As the Senior Project Manager within our Strategic Planning and Analysis team, you will work closely with Business leaders and Corporate Services colleagues to drive successful completion of projects, using standard project management practices. You will understand objectives, improve effectiveness through project management and executive reporting, analyze and recommend business solutions using a disciplined business case justification process. The position requires a broad range of management skills and stellar interpersonal skills along with a willingness to take on just about anything, with an excited and curious attitude. Along the way, you'll grow and develop at a pace that energizes your career while you do your life's best work.(sm) The Strategic Planning and Analysis team comprises 35 employees supporting the finance, reporting, strategic planning, communication and project needs of Corporate Services to ensure the department operates at its highest potential. Corporate Services includes divisions that provide vital support and partnership to UHG businesses and includes Enterprise Procurement, Enterprise Real Estate Services, Enterprise Resiliency and Response and Aviation (approximately 300 employees).Primary Responsibilities:Coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas utilizing standard project management documentation (project plans, risk trackers, etc.)Oversight of Corporate Services programs such as Social Responsibility and other programs that drive employee engagement Driving progress of projects across numerous stakeholders, functional areas and project teamsPrioritizing, organizing and balancing multiple demands and competing deadlinesLeading meetings with cross functional partners to achieve decision making and action Providing subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniquesCoordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects Track and escalate issues and risks, ensuring full mitigation and resolution, drive the project holistically and work on a variety of projects across the organization
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field3+ years of project management or related administrative support with demonstrated history of managing significant and complex projectsDemonstrated ability to influence without authority, develop strong relationships across departmental and functional lines, collaborate through conflict and obtain necessary inputs in order to accomplish own goals (work effectively in a large matrix environment)Excellent grammar, verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detailIntermediate proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelLive within a commutable distance to corporate office in Minnetonka, MN Preferred Qualifications:Experience supporting Finance teams, Operations, Procurement or Real EstateHealth insurance or financial services industry experienceProfessional experience using Microsoft Project and Visio, Access or similar databaseAlready Fortune 6, we are totally focused on innovation and change.
