The College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting part-time faculty position to teach one course, ENVS 247 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems, during the Spring 2018 semester to begin in January 2018. This course is an essential component of the multidisciplinary Environmental Studies (ENVS) major and minor curriculum. This course has an expected enrollment of ~20 students and is scheduled to meet MW 6:30-7:45 pm in a computer lab furnished with PCs installed with ArcGIS and Google Earth. We also have a set of Garmin handheld GPS units which can be used for assignments. The successful candidate will be provided with office space and is expected to hold weekly office hours. The single-course salary for a visiting lecturer is $6,425.
