The Senior Sourcing Analyst is responsible for providing an extensive variety of advanced analytical services for SSM Health leaders to support Contract Management, Contract Analytics and Clinical Resource Utilization Analytics to guide management of clinical and fiscal resources. These complex analytics will contribute to key strategic decision making by supply chain, clinical and operational leadership. In this position Senior Sourcing Analyst will assist the Contract Managers, System Director and Chief Supply Chain Officer and other Regional and System Leadership in creation of specialized data extractions and creation of reports that define standardization opportunities, identify waste/over utilization of clinical or fiscal resources and other inefficiencies that impact expenses and resources. The Senior Analyst will mentor Sourcing Analysts and provide ongoing training and support to all Supply Chain staff on data and analytical processes and techniques.
Develops analytical tools and performance metrics to use in value analysis / RFP documents and discussions
At direction of Strategic Sourcing Manager activates agreements in GPO's tools on behalf of SSM Health and Affiliates
Supports Strategic Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain and Regional Leaders, in developing tools and reports to define market basket evaluations for potential new affiliates using SSM Health, Premier, CCG, SPG contracted vendors and through independent research.
Provides analytical support to assist Supply Chain and Regional Leaders and Strategic Sourcing Managers in evaluating internal and external benchmarking (including cost, quality, safety, user / patient satisfaction and performance) data to identify value beyond acquisition costs
Provides support for supply chain task forces, value analysis and supplier meetings
Establishes processes, tools and applicable mechanisms to track, report and present performance improvement opportunities to Fiscal Leadership, System Management and others
Creates Compliance Reports to monitor trend data relative to contracting and resource utilization projects assigned
Works collaboratively with SSM System Finance, Treasury, Risk Management and Compliance in an increasingly complex legal, financial reporting and compliance environment.
Coordinates closely with other contract managers to maximize Premier incentives and rebates available to SSM Health through Premier contracts.
Maintain a working knowledge of all product and service needs and industry developments related to assigned spend categories.
Assists System and Regional Supply Chain Leaders and Strategic Sourcing Managers with coordination of Legal and OIG / Excluded Provider reviews per SSM Legal and CRP guidelines as directed.
Develops tools, reports and presentations to support to System and Regional Supply Chain Leaders and Strategic Sourcing Managers in communicating cost reduction ideas and initiatives, including alternative strategies for implementation consideration.
Assists Supply Analysts, System and Regional Supply Leaders and Strategic Sourcing managers in development of tools, reports and data extractions to Monitors compliance with system contracts.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Previous experience in healthcare required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization
Expert level skills in Excel, Access and MMIS Database tools
Possess working knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and experience executing/drafting business requirements and key performance indicators in contracts
Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain from an accredited university preferred
5 years of health care experience preferred
Experience in an acute care setting preferred
