The Web Coordinator is a non-exempt, full-time staff position which assists management within the Strategic Marketing and Communications department. This role plays an integral role and success of the marketing and communication efforts of Chapman University.
The Web Coordinator provides support, guidance and data analysis for the development and maintenance of Chapman University's external web presence and digital marketing communications, emphasizing analytics.This position is responsible for data-driven research, campus partner support, brand oversight and development of web content for clarity, accuracy, user experience, ADA compliance, and marketing effectiveness. Under the supervision of the Web Content Manager, and in coordination with Strategic Marketing & Communications' (SMC) Account Executives, the Web Coordinator helps ensure the effective application of the University's internal and external communication and branding strategies on the web.
The Coordinator is specifically tasked with taking the lead on data analysis of Chapman's digital marketing assets, our website visitors, and internal users' personas using software like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. This position will generate reports and dashboards and provide this information to SMC leadership and partners. Based on the information gathered, this position will make recommendations based on data generated and patterns observed. The incumbent performs other duties as assigned.

Specific Job Requirements: Bachelors in communications, marketing, business, data analytics or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.Excellent editing skills (grammarian, great proof reader, understand visual web aesthetics and having a working knowledge of web principles).Basic HTML, CMS and Photoshop skills, experience with online publishing and content management systems. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve web issues for Chapman constituents. Excellent working knowledge of web environments with the ability to conduct test and pull web analytics using systems like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Strong working knowledge of search engine optimization, web analytics, and web marketing principles
