Assistant Director, Frontline Operations and Support Services
The Office of Admissions at the University of California, Santa Cruz is dedicated to providing service to prospective, new, and continuing students pursuing an undergraduate education. In carrying out our mission we promote the campus and its programs to prospective students and their representatives, as well as the public at large; we admit and enroll students that reflect the values and commitment of the campus faculty and administration, and we ensure those students a smooth transition to the start of their academic careers at UCSC; we assist continuing UCSC students in the timely completion of their degrees.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check
Ability to work variable hours including evenings and weekends, and participate in occasional overnight travel.
Must possess a valid California driver's license
Must comply with all UC, UCSC, and Office of Admissions policies and procedures, such as travel and entertainment.
Per the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA), this position has been identified as a Mandated Reporter.
Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of experience / training.
Skill in supervising the work of others and the ability to organize and set priorities that accurately reflect team responsibilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to understand and interpret documents and data specifications.
