Provides direct and professional nursing assessment, schedules appointments, provides patient teaching and administers medications in a clinic setting. Assists the medical provider with examinations. Performs other duties as assigned.
30% - Essential - Assessment and Advocacy: Recognizes signs and symptoms of physical and emotional illness. Functions as a patient advocate and provides patient teaching to students. Strives to establish and maintain confidence and cooperation of patients.
30% - Essential - Patient Care: Accurately administers medications. Performs treatment prescribed by the physician or nurse practitioner. Provides a safe environment.
30% - Essential - Patient Preparation: Prepares patients and assists provider in the physical exam of the patient.
10% - Essential - Professional Development: Maintains individual nursing competencies and stays abreast of emerging trends in college health and higher education. Assumes responsibility of actions and judgements.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Licenses - Nurse - RN Registered
JOB KNOWLEDGE Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
