The Collaborative to Advance Health Services at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Nursing and Health studies seeks an outstanding senior research associate whose primary role will be two-fold: they will to serve as a program manager on a federally-funded national HIV prevention coordinating center project and as a conference manager for a federally-funded national reproductive healthcare project.
OVERALL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership in program and resource development.
Serve as a senior program manager for a national HIV prevention initiative. Facilitate collaboration and communication among key stakeholders and manage collaborative projects to ensure objectives are met.
Co-chair and monitor the National Reproductive Health Care Planning Committee with Project Director, including tracking and assisting staff with speakers, maintaining ongoing communication with the national training center staff, securing educational grants, tracking presentation and poster abstracts, monitoring the evaluation and marketing processes, and ensuring the conference stays on budget.
Direct national initiatives, create project teams, and serve as resource for project development and completion.
Create and deliver presentations.
Prepare and assist in the preparation of grant applications.
Other duties as assigned.
Senior management and supervisory experience.
Documented conference planning experience.
Prefer lived experience related to health and wellness of people with special healthcare needs that relate to the grants implemented by the Collaborative (e.g., LGBT health, women's health, behavioral health).
Must have extensive experience in leading teams and facilitating collaboration.
Must have high-level project management skills and be detail-oriented.
Must be culturally competent, with ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
Must have experience in conference planning for large national conferences.
Must be innovative and creative in programming.
Must have a participatory management and planning style with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Full Time/Part Time
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary commensurate with experience.
