American University’s Benefits Team is recruiting for a Manager of Tuition Benefits and Financials. This position is responsible for the audit and reconciliation of the university’s benefits accounts including but not limited to the health, dental, flex spending, life insurance, legal, and benefits extension plans, and providing budget oversight for the wellness program. In addition, this position is responsible for the administration of educational benefits for employees, spouse/same-sex domestic partners and dependent children. The Manager will perform data audits, track the usage of educational benefits, perform reconciliations, process vendor payments, and perform other duties as assigned. This position also has a strong customer service component and will serve as the point of contact for employees regarding the educational benefits. The incumbent must demonstrate an impeccable level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and strong customer service skills.

Bachelor's degree in related field required. A Master’s degree is preferred. CEBS certification or other benefit certification(s) are desirable.
Three (3) years of related work experience (e.g. account administration, customer service, or other related experience) that demonstrates the expertise and abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, attention to detail, and planning and organizing competencies
Proficiency with Windows based applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Access, other database, and presentation software
