Full Time 40 hours Grade 055 Info Systems SMH Schedule 8 AM-5 PM Responsibilities General Purpose: The ePARC Project Manager is a member of a cross-functional team where teamwork, collaboration, challenges and continuous learning are the norm. Primary goals of the position are to: Manage ePARC enterprise analytic projects for financial, operational and clinical stakeholders of URMC hospitals (SMH, HH, FFT) and the Medical Faculty Group Establish strong partnerships with operational leaders, business unit subject matter experts, analytics developers and ePARC application team members Translate analytic project requirements into detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and business requirements documentation for developers Cultivate effective communication and coordination across URMC constituents for successful completion of each project milestone Drive results from all project team members through clear responsibility / accountability and scope expectations and follow-up Lead ePARC data governance efforts, including reporting policies & procedures, for effective organizational use of ePARC analytic platforms and self-serve business intelligence tools Coach report developers on tracking deliverables and process expectations for report documentation, build, testing, sign off and inventorying completed builds Foster improvement of enterprise patient access and revenue cycle operations and resource use through analytics project management Position works under the direction of the ISD Finance and Administration Project Director. Position works in collaboration with team leads, ePARC reporting units, clinical reporting units and operational stakeholders. Responsibilities include end-to-end project management of patient access and revenue cycle reports/dashboards, data extracts, data cubes/views and self-serve business intelligence tools for the URMC enterprise. Reporting projects span various analytic platforms, including Epic reporting tools, (Reporting Workbench, Radar, Extract Editor, Crystal Reports,) Microsoft SQL Server, Tibco Spotfire and Tableau. Conforms to established guidelines, standards, and conventions for project management and business requirements documentation. Position requires successfully achieving (and maintaining) Project Management trainings and certifications. Certifications may require two to five weeks of training, includes travel. Specific Responsibilities: Manages coordination and status tracking of ePARC go-live projects for operational, analytical and finance-related data extracts and reports. Includes functional areas of analysis, design, documentation, testing, end user acceptance and implementation of Epic Chronicles and Clarity extracts and reports. Coordinates patient access and revenue cycle (ePARC) report portfolio, including data from the following Epic applications: Cadence, Grand Central, Prelude, HIM, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing. Implements newly designed integrated request intake, with clearly defined governance and processes for analytic request submission, review, prioritization, triage, assignment, tracking, migration, inventory, reporting and utility evaluation. Supports project management needs for the implementation of URMCâ™s ePARC Reporting Champion program, including coordination and delivery of end-user milestone activities: critical report documentation and translation, security access documentation and coordination, gold standard reporting toolkits, ePARC analytics presentations, ongoing ePARC reporting education/training/consultation platforms and materials, end user acceptance / validation sessions. Supervises procedural changes and communication between stakeholders and project teams. Manages all phases of assigned tasks/projects, meets established deadlines, and maintains flexibility while managing multiple priorities. Requirements Bachelorâ™s degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering; and 4-5 years of related experience; preferably 2-3 years in a supervisory; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Masterâ™s degree preferred. Preferred Requirements: Highly organized with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage resources and time effectively Experience working in healthcare sector Experience with patient access and revenue cycle operations and reporting, including patient scheduling, registration, admissions, discharges, transfers, hospital and professional billing, revenue integrity, accrued and actual revenue Possesses strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, written and oral Leads meetings utilizing effective meeting management methodologies Experience with enterprise data governance programs and infrastructure Project management expertise / certification Software/Hardwire Requirements: Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, Sharepoint, Word, Excel, Powerpoint Knowledge of Epic reporting tools (RWB/Radar, Extract Editor, Crystal) and report specification design documents Experience with relational database concepts, SQL tuning and data extraction methodologies Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools preferred, such as Spotfire and Tableau Report writing knowledge of custom expressions and advanced programming for automation of calculations and formatting
