Responsibilities This Executive Assistant position is located in the Regional Office, Field Operations Division (FO), within the Office of Security Operations (OSO), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include: Preparing research and conducting analysis on a wide range of subjects for the Regional Director; preparing reports, summaries, presentations, and incorporating the findings and conclusions. Serving as the office manager and primary administrative person for correspondence, suspense's, appointments, reports, and budgets; reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating administrative functions, and recommending new or revised policies and changes in work procedures and work flow. Receiving and distributing intelligence information related to transportation security threats and assisting with the coordination of highly sensitive issues associated with national security incidents in coordination with higher level management. Assisting Regional Directors (RDs), and Federal Security Directors (FSDs) in the areas of policies, human resources, personnel actions, and administrative functions within their area of responsibility. Reviewing all incoming correspondence; coordinating all required activities and preparing consolidated reports or responses; briefing the Regional Director on the status of problems, special studies, and other matters of special interest. Serving as the primary coordinator of all replies to special correspondence. The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, at the lower pay band (Pay Band G) you will perform the same duties, but will receive more guidance and training; and projects or work assignments may be less complex.
