The Dublin San Ramon Services District, an award-winning Special District providing water, wastewater, and recycled water services to the Tri-Valley Area, is in search of an Administrative Analyst II to provide support to the Engineering Services Department.
Under general direction, the Administrative Analyst II will perform a wide variety of professional administrative and technical analysis in support of the Engineering Services Department; perform administrative, budgetary, and statistical analysis including coordinating and conducting special studies; develop departmental procedures, methods and systems; monitor projects, administer contracts and budgets; and perform other duties as required.
Per the Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2012 (PEPRA), "classic members" currently employed in reciprocal public agencies are enrolled in a 2.7% at 55 CalPERS pension plan with a 10% employee contribution; "new members," either employees new to the public sector or whose date of separation from service was more than 6 months before the start date with the District, are enrolled in a 2% at 62 CalPERS pension plan with a required contribution of at least 50% of the "normal cost;" 6.25% for 2017.
The ideal candidate will have a strong professional business/program administration background, with at least two (2) years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, financial and budgetary analysis, and demonstrated program management experience. This person must be able to perform many roles, manage multiple demands, meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively. The ideal candidate will have had at least two or more years of experience providing lead-level functional and/or technical supervision/direction to lower-level clerical or technical staff. Excellent relational database and enterprise systems management skills are essential, as are technical proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, report generating software (such as Crystal Reports) and other software applications. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a business unit or engineering department, interpreting and applying policies and guidelines, and evaluating and designing business processes. Experience managing consultants is also ideal. Strong data analysis and report-writing skills, flexibility, and attention to detail are a must.
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business or public administration or closely related field;
Two (2) years of responsible professional administration experience performing duties similar to an Administrative Analyst I with the District.
