Reports to: Director of Recruitment & Professional Development (Director)
Basic Function: Provides administrative support and assistance to Director in coordination to recruit attorneys, paralegal, law student, patent professionals (patent agents and patent engineers) for the firm’s 15 offices. Works with attorneys, paralegals, staff, summer clerks, patent professionals, applicants, headhunters, law schools, undergraduate schools, and regional offices in implementing firm's recruiting functions. Collaborates with PD team to facilitate integration of new hires into the firm.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates recruiting efforts for the firm’s 15 offices.
Assists in preparation and maintenance of advertising and recruiting materials; Assists in updating the firm’s recruiting website.
Tracks incoming resume and applications and conduct preliminary review.
Conducts initial screening of candidates by phone or in person as requested; Makes recommendations to Director and hiring partners.
Coordinates, prepares, and distributes interview schedules; Distributes post interview evaluations; Conduct reference and fact check.
Prepares reports, new hire paperwork and announcements regarding newly hired lawyers/students/paralegals/patent professionals; Assists in conflicts review and background check processes.
Handles travel arrangements and all other administrative details for local and out-of-state candidates.
Attends career fairs at law schools and undergraduate engineering schools; Identify and recruit quality candidates.
Represents H&H in law school employer panels, mock interviews, resume review workshops, etc. and build a wide network.
Assists in the preparation for Recruitment Committee and Summer Clerk Committee meetings; Assists in planning summer programs.
Supports Director in developing and monitoring recruiting strategies and in carrying out the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Spends one day per week in the Boulder office to assist with recruiting needs of the EE Patent Group.
Participates in Diversity & Inclusion Committee; Assist H&H achieve its diversity goals and missions through recruiting processes.
Monitor market trends and keep Director apprised of trends in attracting and retaining top talent, and other relative industry intelligence.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Assumes primary responsibility for accurately entering data into recruitment databases, generating reports, correspondence, schedules, and other data requests from recruitment database, as requested by Director.
Coordinates new attorney/paralegal trainings and orientations; Updates new attorney and new paralegal orientation notebooks as needed.
Conducts attorney/paralegal training sessions on appropriate topics.
Provides administrative support and assistance to Director in the coordination of professional development programs for attorney/paralegal/patent professional as requested by Director.
Provides administrative support for all special projects, as requested.

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience; JD a plus
Prior law firm or similar experience preferred
