Reporting to the Chair and Chief of Pathology, this position will serve as a senior aide with responsibility for managing the flow of people and information through the Chair's office and representing the Chair's interests through contacts with other Yale offices, Yale-New Haven Hospital offices, other institutions, YSM department chairs, faculty, staff, students, alumni, dignitaries and visitors from other countries and corporations. The position is also responsible for generating and managing communications on behalf of the Chair to the Department, University, and Public; monitors and manages social media messages allowing us to connect, build our brand, share information and build relationships. Designs and oversees the development of promotional and informational materials for the Department and will provide a high level of administrative support and oversee and coordinate program activities, including the ability to design and implement policies, procedures and systems to enhance office production and efficiency, including tracking systems for workflow. Supervises assigned administrative support staff and oversees related workflows.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's Degree and experience in senior level academic administration or comparable executive setting with two to three years of administrative professional writing experience and familiarity with technical and medical writing. Experience in marketing and the development of social media as a communication tool. Experience supervising or overseeing the work of others.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor degree and two years of relevant work experience in an academic or research environment or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
