Build and sustain workingrelationships with community associations, business leaders, faith-basedorganizations, school and university administrators, youth groups, and otherinstitutions; plan and organize community events such as health fairs andworkshops to promote engagement in research.
Maintain relationships withcollaborative partners, cultivate new ones, work with like-minded communitygroups to identify and prioritize community issues; and provide timely andaccurate records and reports from community outreach efforts.
Supervise the activities of theoutreach workers, students and volunteers, as applicable. Determines workpriorities, assigns and reviews work including written reports andrecommendations; provides guidance, training and evaluates performance.
Conducts qualitative interviews andfocus groups. Recruit participants, create and execute documents required forfocus groups. Collects, compiles, and organizes data pertinent to variousongoing projects. Analyzes, summarizes, and communicates this information toappropriate officials.
Assist leadership in providingengagement deliverables to research investigators including: engagement plansand letters of support, administratively manage stakeholder advisorycommittees; lead working meetings with investigators, patients, and otherstakeholders. Assist in building collaborative partnerships with patientadvocacy and professional organizations to enhance research engagementactivities including optimizing trial visibility, recruitment and retention.
Develop and manage an effective planfor social media outlets, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter,Tumblr, and blogs. Establishes effective communication channels and acts asliaison between the program and officials within and outside the institution.
Assists in planning and coordinatingadministrative activities of the PATIENTS program, such as scheduling meetings,taking meeting minutes, space and event planning, purchasing, sharingcommunications with primary investigators and key personnel, trackingmilestones and deliverables.
Assists in the management,oversight, and execution of assigned projects and addresses problems as theyarise.
Consult with program head andadministrative officials regarding policies, trends, and interpretation of dataand program needs. Updates Assistant Directors on developments and progress ofproject deliverables and milestones. Participate in the development andpresentation of informational and/or educational materials and literature.
Performs other related duties asassigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Business, Management, Communications, and/or related field.
Experience: Two (2) years' experience in a related field with program planning, project management, or coordination. Supervisory experience preferred.
