Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)-PACU
We Are: The Josie Robertson Surgery Center (JRSC) is a first-of-its-kind, freestanding outpatient and short-stay cancer surgery facility that will deliver exceptional care to patients while utilizing the latest in surgical technology. The Center will re-design the way in which perioperative cancer care is provided, with an emphasis on innovation, continuous data-driven improvement, and an optimized patient experience. The opening of this new facility will mark a new direction at MSK by focusing expertise on the delivery of high quality, cost effective surgical treatment of cancer that will complement a long established reputation for excellent surgical care of patients with advanced, complex cancers. The vision for JRSC is to develop a safe, efficient, patient-friendly, high-volume, high-quality, extended ambulatory surgical program committed to continual quality improvement and patient and provider satisfaction.
We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) who will collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide care for the short stay surgical patients post PACU thru the discharge process.
You are: *Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple stakeholders *Resourceful, securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently *An effective communicator *Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people *Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are: *Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations *Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) *3+ years of related clinical experience *Related National NP certification *BLS certification
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are: *Graduate from an accredited PA program *NCCPA certification *Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure *A minimum of 2 years of related experience as a PA is preferred *BLS certification
Hours: Hours: 10 hour days (2pm-12am) flexed Monday - Friday
