Responsible for the day to day clerical support including scheduling specialty appointments and obtaining insurance authorizations and referrals. This position will act as a float and be periodically assigned to different subspecialty clinics.
Ability to fully utilize MiChart and EMR applications to access patient information, schedule appointments, process collections and generate reports.
Skill in keyboarding, Excel, Word and Power Point applications for reporting data and communicating information.
Coordinate patient flow through specialty clinical service.
Collaborate with billing staff to ensure patients have all necessary referrals and prior authorizations for clinical and surgical services or supplies.
Collaborate with technicians and other allied health staff to ensure proper coordination of services and contribution to patient satisfaction goals.
Conduct as necessary, the rescheduling of patients due to changes in Provider's schedules.
Ensure that patients with urgent medical needs are scheduled in accordance with triage guidelines and clinic schedules adjusted for patient care and clinic flow purposes.
Manage faculty schedules, including adjusting existing templates, adding new days and closing days.

High school diploma or GED.
0-2 years of experience.
