Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Social Worker.
In this role, the successful candidate The Social Worker will provide clinical service through individual, couples, family, or group therapy to veterans, military service members, and their families. The Social Worker will have training and experience in trauma and Posttraumatic Stress and will be proficient in providing individual, couples, and family therapy. This position is full-time and the treatment will be offered at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic.
Provide direct service including treatment and case management for veterans, active duty service members, and their families
Conduct clinical intake assessments on veterans and family members as needed
Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy to patients
Attend weekly MFC clinical, supervision, and administrative meetings
Provide supervision and didactic training to Social Work trainees
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as required by New York State. Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required Knowledge in DSM-IV/DSM-V diagnoses is required Experience in PTSD assessment and diagnosis is required Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with veterans is preferred
