This person will be a key member of an innovative technology development team responsible for the project sizing, technical analysis, development, and ongoing support of my.harvard, Harvard's enterprise student information system developed on top of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Interaction Hub.
Duties and Responsibilities:
In a Kanban environment, participate in project sizing, technical design, and develop, test, deploy, and support new and enhanced software projects.
Develop and enhance solutions including screens, interfaces, web services, conversion scripts, and other components.
Troubleshoot technical issues.
Providing 24/7 on-call production support.

Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
BS/BA in related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, information systems) or equivalent experience
Current technical experience to include:
1-2 years of Java programming experience.
1-2 years of SQL experience on any database (ORACLE, MSSQL)
The following qualifications are strongly preferred:
Windows, Unix, Linux and VMWare
Commitment to producing excellent software in the timeframe estimated.
The demonstrated ability to learn new technologies is highly desirable.
The aptitude and desire to be a "hands on" contributor is essential.
Good working knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, PeopleTools 8.53+, Peoplesoft Portal 9.1;
1-2 years of programming experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Business Interlinks, Webservices, XML Publisher and SQR.
Must have strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to work closely with product managers, other technical team members and our partners to clarify project scope and requirements, including providing and evaluating alternative options where appropriate.
Must be flexible and able to work independently or in a team environment.
Ability to translate stories into creative and practical designs and development.
Experience with full software lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing)
Strong analytical, problem solving and estimating skills
Independent and self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to prioritize, take initiative and work well under pressure
