This position will be responsible for a variety of legal matters related to the Company's shopping center portfolio including those listed below. The position will support the Company’s critical legal initiatives, as well as the day-to-day operations of the Legal department, and have ongoing opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will have experience in the shopping center industry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1.Research tenant leases to determine whether specific uses might violate other tenant uses or restrictions, and analyze other legal issues. 2.Draft and revise a wide variety of legal documents, including leases, amendments, renewals, easements, closing documents, confidentiality agreements, access agreements, listing agreements, and related documentation. 3.Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and/or Experience 4+ years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics 1.Strong analytical and research skills. 2.Strong organizational skills. 3.Strong written and oral communication skills. 4.Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines. 5.Demonstrated self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision. 6.Ability to be proactive and demonstrate initiative in projects and tasks. 7.High degree of integrity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Nature of work requires an ability to analyze, communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, and operate standard business office equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work performed in a general office environment. May require extended hours.
