Work Unit Description
This position is part of a Sponsored Project Administration and Finance Shared Service team (SAT). SAT groups provide support to a combination of OHSU programs, departments and institutes. The SAT groups provide comprehensive sponsored project administrative and financial management for the primary appointed faculty's grants, contracts, clinical trials and sponsored project programs.

Salary Range: $21.31 - $28.82 per hour

Functions/Duties of Position
The Administrative Coordinator position is part of the Sponsored Agreements Team (SAT) supporting the Institute on Development and Disabilities, Department of Pediatrics, The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Center for Women's Health (IPOC) and reports to the Director for Research Administration. The SAT Pre Award is an administrative unit within IPOC that provides comprehensive pre- award and project management and administration sponsored projects to a diverse customer base.
This position will work predominately with the 'pre-award' or grants/contract management group of IPOC. The position will be responsible for: General administrative support, maintaining financial data, spreadsheets and reports, analyzing data, and explaining and disseminating policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have solid mathematical, multi-tasking, and organizational abilities.
Four years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
An Associate's degree or certificate in office occupations or office technology and two
years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
A Bachelor's degree and two years of general office or secretarial experience; OR
An equivalent combination of training and experience
Must be proficient with computers running Windows applications (e.g. MS Excel, Outlook, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
Must be able to use Excel spreadsheets with general financial budgeting abilities
Solid mathematical abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems
Must have demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person
Must possess energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships
Demonstrable record of reliable attendance, punctuality, and proven successful performance at past and present employers
Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Bachelor's degree and 1 year office experience or 4 years medical, general office experience
Knowledge of grant preparation and administration with experience in an academic medical center in the areas of both clinical and basic science
