The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Manager of Orientation & Professional Development. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 5100 students. The Manager of Orientation & Professional Development is central to creating and promoting a welcoming campus climate at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College. Reporting to the Director of Student Engagement, the Manager of Orientation & Professional Development is responsible for developing, implementing and managing in-person and online orientation programs for all new first-year and transfer students. Responsibilities include collaboration with campus partners to deliver accurate and useful information, management of a team of undergraduate student leaders to fulfill the program needs, and oversight of the communication plan and registration process for orientation.
Additionally, the Manager of Orientation & Professional Development will assist with the planning and implementation of events and activities designed to promote career and professional development. Responsibilities include event planning and management of campus-wide career and leadership development events, collaboration with the faculty coordinator for internships and participation in the programs and initiatives of other Student Life and Engagement functional areas.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors' degree with three (3) years' experience; -OR- Associate's degree with five (5) years' experience; -OR- seven (7) years' experience. Experience must be in program development. Experience may require at least one (1) year of supervision.
Ideal Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs, Counseling or a related/similar field. Other ideal qualifications are: professional experience working with orientation and/or career development, demonstrated experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse students or populations preferably in a college or university setting, ability to create partnerships in university and surrounding local communities, demonstrated program/event planning and management experience; a collaborative and team building approach; comfortable with the use of technology including Microsoft Office applications and social media.
