This new role at the Harvard Innovation Labs is charged with five fundamental responsibilities: ensuring consistent and sufficient awareness and interest in the Launch and Life Labs by qualified Harvard alumni-led teams; ensuring that the current Launch, Life and i-lab communities are being optimally supported and developed; developing effective approaches to fully engage Harvard Innovation Labs alumni ventures that have left the labs; creating the curatorial approaches to optimize the value and capacity of the Advisor Network that is so critical to the operation of the entire ecosystem and finally building the critical community facing systems necessary to ensure both quality consistency and the ability to efficiently scale/add new labs in other locations.
Job Mission: Develop a robust and meaningful Innovation Labs founder community that extends beyond the physical walls of the Harvard Innovation Labs in Allston.
Working with the Community Relations staff and Leadership team build and implement an annual department plan that supports the overall Strategic Plan tactical priorities while ensuring consistent progress of the department's function and value
Lead, manage and develop the Community Relations department/function for all three Harvard Innovation labs in order to deliver optimal customer lifecycle experiences from application to off-boarding to Innovation Labs alumni engagement
Guide the development of Community Relations systems and protocols to ensure consistency of delivery and the capacity to scale/expand to other locations
Ensure that the Launch and Life Lab communities represent venture team criteria and that there are solid pipelines of applicant interest
Serve as a primary ambassador for the Launch and Life Lab communities, engaging individuals and team on a constant basis to gauge satisfaction and get feedback that can inform the customer experience construct
Develop and implement a Harvard Innovation Labs alumni engagement plan that establishes opportunities for value exchange, e.g. alumni provide value back, the Harvard Innovation Labs provide value to
Develop and implement a concerted plan to better curate, manage and deploy the Harvard Innovation Labs Advisor Network, a network of almost 200 volunteer experts, entrepreneurs and subject matter experts who volunteer their time in support of Harvard student (and alumni) entrepreneurs
Other Tasks and Accountabilities:
Work with Advising to develop topic and frequency appropriate events that generate high NPS scores
Actively monitor member satisfaction via NPS and providing leadership with monthly reports of satisfaction, programming satisfaction, and pipeline performance.
Develop and implement communications to all members via weekly newsletters and other TBD mechanisms – create support collateral as needed working with Centralized Marketing
Work with Centralized Marketing and Centralized Operations regarding opportunities to improve Launch Lab and Life Lab member experiences (Operations will provide all services in support of stocking, finance, and physical plant).
Serve as the primary content voice for Launch Lab and Life Lab social media
Actively participate in the development of the Harvard Innovation Labs web and digital presence in general and the Launch Lab and Life Lab efforts in particular
Serving as a backup operations person for Launch Lab and Life Lab issues should Centralized Operations not be able to address specific member issues quickly enough

BA/BS required. 7+ years of related experience.
