In this IT Technical Architect role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the Optum Payment Integrity technology architectures and patterns, including the components required to support, integrate and automate corporate and business architecture and applications. Watch this video to learn more about Optum Technology Careers Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate with Product, Operations and Analytics partners to design technical architectures in alignment with evolving market opportunities Demonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements as it relates to technology impacts Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions (patterns and platforms) Ensure alignment of solutions with Optum Payment Integrity business and IT goals/objectives as well as UHG enterprise initiatives Identify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems through the use of transitional state architectures Facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features Communicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews) and various scrum teams Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual/high level designs Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans) Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as needed Maintain awareness of current technology stack assets and the capabilities of each Work to ensure delivery of all technical architecture deliverables as it relates to scope, timing and budget
Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture 8+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration 6+ years of experience in building multi-tier resilient applications using Java, Scala and/or Python, Big Data (Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL and Search technologies) and RESTful web services 2+ years of experience on AWS, Azure or other cloud platform 2+ years of experience with CI/CD technologies Agile development experiencePreferred Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field Health care industry experience Team leadership or team management experience Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platformsTechnology Careers with Optum.
