The faculty physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or the Center leadership.
Ensure compliance with Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance Programs
Manage regulatory compliance with DOH, Joint Commission, ACR and US NRC as well as managing Image quality and dose monitoring/optimization
MS, or PhD, degree in Medical Physics, or with a background in Physics, Engineering or related discipline
Eligible to become board certified in Diagnostic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology after 1 year of clinical experience
Knowledge and expertise of radiological physics, computer data analysis, diagnostic imaging equipment, and interest in clinical service and instrumentation quality control of diagnostic imaging equipment
