The Senior IT Auditor position is the second level position within Internal Audit Department. The position is responsible for either taking lead auditor assignments (Auditor-In-Charge) or participating with team of internal audit staff in performing various audits and reviews throughout the corporation. The job provides lots of challenges and involves travel (primarily local) to banking and non-banking locations on a routine basis.
Senior IT Auditor maintains independence and is responsible for performing various internal audits and reviews at the direction of the IT Audit Manager. The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for testing FFIEC compliance and ITGCs including change management, logical access and IT operations. The position identifies/communicates control deficiencies to bank and non-bank management, monitors implementation and validates for corrective actions. Position interacts with senior management and Board of Directors. Position keeps abreast of IIA/ISACA Standards, CE Requirements, and adheres to Corporate Code of Ethics. Maintains confidentiality of the information and protects company’s sensitive information and materials.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal are required. Ability to manage, analyze and interpret various financial reports and documents is required. Strong interpersonal, time management, negotiation, presentation, and writing skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications is required. Experience with analytics tools such as ACL is preferred.
Minimum three years of experience as an Information Technology Auditor in a banking organization or within the financial services industry is required. Experience in auditing network security/ Bank application controls as well as a broad understanding of commercial/consumer loans, deposits, branch administration, bank operations, automated clearing, treasury products, and wire transfer functions, SOX 404 Key Controls, trust administration/operation, wealth management is required. Under graduate or graduate degree with emphasis in Computer Science, MIS/Accounting and/or Finance is required. Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CPA or CIA preferred.
The physical requirements include close vision to laptops, standing, sitting and repetitive use of hands and finger and occasional lifting of 25 pounds. Local travel to Wintrust banking and non-banking locations.
