Functions/Duties of Position
This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation OHSU's EHR for Tuality Healthcare. The position may also coordinate the implementation of Epic applications at new clinics and locations of care. The project lead has accountability for the successful implementation of assigned projects, meeting commitments to scope, budget, and schedule.
The Project Lead will supervise all staff assigned to complete various portions of the ambulatory implementation. This may include application analysts, workflow analysts, interface analysts and report writers. The staff assigned to work on the implementation project will be responsible for all design, build and testing of applications and interfaces across the ambulatory setting. The position will coordinate activity with other IT stakeholders at OHSU, including representatives from Ambulatory Services, Patient Billing, Training, Technology Infrastructure, and Informatics.
Bachelor's degree in health care, computer science, information technology, or related field.
Epic Certification in any application
Minimum of five years of experience with major IT projects
Significant organizational and management skills, specifically within a large organization
Experience with building and maintaining successful vendor relationships
Experience in complex technology environment
Working knowledge of hospital operations and the patient care process.
Proven record of successful project management
Working knowledge of Epic applications and understanding of security and access-related issues.
Ability to lead large group of diverse people.
