The Research Assistant hired for this position will assume responsibility for the management of clinical operational activities related to the conduct of clinical research studies in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. The RA will conduct study initiation, implementation and close out activities, and maintain systems to track projects including regulatory requirements, patient enrollment and study visits. The RA will serve as liaison with industry contacts and Principal Investigators (PIs) to ensure successful execution of clinical studies; and recruit, consent, and conduct visits for study subjects.
Bachelor's Degree with major courses in field of research and no experience, OR AA and 2 years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working knowledge of eIRB
Working knowledge of eCRIS
Ability to work with a variety of diverse individuals and personalities
Excellent phone and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize work demands
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of medical terminology
5 years of clinical study coordination experience
Intermediate skills with Access
